Rooted in Heritage

At King’s Kraal, we reinterpret Africa’s diverse culinary traditions through the innovative visions of Justice Huni and Chef Kudzai Bingepinge. Our restaurant is a journey into the heart of Africa’s flavors, where age-old recipes meet contemporary techniques, creating dishes that celebrate our heritage andinspire the palate.

A celebration of our mothers and grandmothers cooking that comforted and brought us closer to our cultures and identity.

Sustainability: Our sourcing of heritage ingredients is a form of celebrating our culture and we are careful to select only the best heritage ingredients, sustainably and in accordance with nature. Diversity our kitchen is a mosaic of various cultures and majority women (they too are mothers and sisters) and that care is reflected in each dish. Good African food. We aren’t trying to cook African food to satisfy the whims of a particular school of cuisine. We simply want to make great African food with context and everyone is welcome to try it.
